I do love fleshing out Donovan to be a bit softer and kinder. She's still a bit rough but not ... evil or cruel.

Mrs. Hudson is ALWAYS BAMF. It's her default settling. XD

I sometimes wonder if canon!Sherlock could read himself like he read others. I figure no, not completely, and I would think that there would be things he doesn't want to see. So artist!Sherlock can't quite see it either. I'm glad you enjoyed that, it was a favourite scene to write.
