Oh wow, thank you so very much! Detailed reviews always make me absolutely ecstatic! ♥
When I write Donovan, I try not to write her as an absolute bitch. Everyone has a bit of humanity in them, after all. (Though Moriarty just might be that exception). And what she acknowledges is definitely something of a camaraderie, respect coming in later.
Artistry is definitely a self-propelled hobby, as is writing and the such. However, Sherlock entertaining himself by chasing after the darker part of London would certainly create adrenalin he'd grow addicted to.
Even in BBC!canon, Sherlock maintains he's clean, but John points out that danger is how Sherlock "gets his kicks". He's an adrenalin junkie.
Yeah, I'm terrible. In the space of two chapters, I've killed off both his parents. D:
Sherlock would definitely have difficulty telling truth from lies when he's on drugs. The disorientation wouldn't wash well with how he mentally reads everything in the world.
I adore Lestrade. I'm trying to show how he'd actually care about Sherlock in more than a "he's a valuable asset" kind of way. Because Sherlock's so adamant that there's NO ONE that can "see" like he does, he shies away from the idea of love and attachment to someone other than himself.
Thank you again for such a lovely review. It's made my Saturday. :DD
