Happy birthday to me. XD
(I'm pretty morbid though. I keep thinking that this is celebrating one of the most painful moments in my mum's life.)

Date: 2011-06-02 10:57 am (UTC)This is a day your mom waited for with much anticipation, the day she got to meet you face to face. Yes it may have not been the most comfortable day of her life (trust me, I would understand that one) but in the end she got YOU.
That beng said, you could always send her flowers on your birthday.
OK, stepping down from soap box.
Happy birthday ! And many happy reruns! :)

Date: 2011-06-02 11:05 am (UTC)Ahaha, you make an awesome, valid point there. :DDD I have shared my birthday chocolates with my mum. ♥
"And many happy reruns!" That is such a cool phrase. I am now using that on my birthday cards to friends/family. ^_^

Date: 2011-06-02 09:09 pm (UTC)My Mum always laughs when I show up at my birthday with flowers for her. ;)
Maybe your Mum would like flowers too? ;)
And on the bright side:
That was the day, when she could breath properly again and there was now one kicking her kidneys and bladder any more. So actually yes, I guess it is an occasion for celebrations on both sides ;)
Have a nice day!
*hugs*

Date: 2011-06-03 08:45 am (UTC)If only you knew the glory that is The Colbert Report...
He does his own version of the fake news and he had on [possibly?] the Ambassador to Germany and the man was hilarious and congratulating him on being one day closer to the extinction of his internal flame and when offered a cupcake, he praised its brilliance in its destructiveness of children's teeth. XDDDDDD

Date: 2011-06-03 09:00 am (UTC)I have watched The Colbert Report. Of what I've seen, he's hilarious. Unfortunately, he's shown at a late hour, and there are a lot of re-runs. I guess he's not very popular in Australia to make prime time. ): Have you seen that skit he did with the banana...? XDD

Date: 2011-06-03 09:08 am (UTC)WHAT EPISODE WITH THE BANANA???? DO GO ON!
HOW CAN HE NOT BE POPULAR IN AUSTRALIA? TELL THEM TO OPEN THEIR EYES TO HIS BRILLIANCE! HE SHINES LIKE THE SUN! OR TRIES TO BLOCK IT OUT ANYHOW! YOU HAVE TO LOVE A GUY WITH THAT KIND OF DETERMINATION!

Date: 2011-06-03 12:02 pm (UTC)Australia, until the last year or so, had been distracted from Colbert (which is, admittedly rather US-targeted) by a team of cracktastic comedians, The Chasers. Until they offended one too many people and were shut down. Damn government. =_= THE PEOPLE'S VOICE MUST BE HEARD!

Date: 2011-06-03 12:23 pm (UTC)He's usually so untouchable and composed/in-character. It's hilarious to see him lose it like that.
Yeah the Colbert Report is a bit US-targeted, but it's a little more... Colbert-targeted, lol. If it could possibly have anything to do with him ever... He covers it. XD He's done so many fake things like won fake Olympic medals and been a fake Korean pop star and been a fake action star and a whole bunch of other fake things.
That and he indiscriminately hates bears in every country, lol!
Alternatively, you could produce your own version of The Chasers and call it The Runners and run from government censorship, lol!

I think I may have seen the Olympic medals episode, but that was a while back. It's kind of hard to remember distinctive episodes because I got sick of TV for a while and just surfed YouTube for clips.
The Chasers have so far been replaced by Hungry Beast, which is slightly more serious but still pretty awesome (unfortunately not as popular, but still...).
